The September GP bulletin is now live!

Please see below for the key updates.

  • There is further coverage today on TV Presenter Sarah Beeney, who has revealed that she is to start treatment following her recent breast cancer diagnosis. There is also a short piece on the life and work of Rhys Evans’s, a leading ENT surgeon who specialised in head and neck cancer, and founded the charity Oracle. Rhys was involved in developing personalised treatments, gene therapies and new, less invasive surgical techniques.
  • There’s a short piece in the Star on a study from the University of Edinburgh, which has found that women who receive an extra boost of radiotherapy for early stage breast cancer are at a reduced risk of the disease returning. Less than 3% of those given the boost saw the disease return after five years compared to more than 7% of those on standard treatment.
